Newly released, the movie, Land, is actress Robin Wright’s directorial debut that she stars in as well. Robin Wright plays a grieving woman who decides to give up all her attachments to the world and live isolated in the remote mountains of Wyoming. She struggles to survive the harsh winter until she is helped by a local hunter named Miguel, played by Demián Bichir. Land has been described as a “beautiful” film and a “smart, moving” piece of work. While Wright’s character’s isolation speaks to enormous self-confidence and healing, the film ultimately shows how connection is what matters most.
