A Promised Land

On our reading list is the 44th President’s much anticipated memoir that has just been released in time for the holidays. It is the first volume of a promised two-volume set. It covers his early political life and ends with a meeting in Kentucky where he is introduced to the SEAL team responsible for the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden. A Promised Land is described as being both political and personal, and has been critically well-reviewed. So much so that The New York Times has described this book as being “virtually guaranteed” to be the year’s top seller. Coming in at 768 pages, we know this tome of a book will provide hours of entertainment over the holidays.
